The One AWWA/ACWWA Operator Fund
The One AWWA/ACWWA Operator Fund is funded through the support of AWWA’s Water Equation Campaign and the Atlantic Canada Water and Wastewater Association. It is awarded up to $2000 for Atlantic Canadian Water Operator training and education. Scholarship awards can be used for certification, operator-related conferences, water-related associate degrees, technical school programs, professional training programs, and books and manuals related to the water industry.

This Water Environment Federation (WEF) scholarship, honouring the former Water Environment Executive Director, Robert Canham, provides $25,000 for a post-baccalaureate student in the water environment field. More information on eligibility and the application process/deadlines can be found HERE.
In recognition of Steve Bonk’s guidance and development of the Canadian Water and Wastewater Association (CWWA) and his roles as leader and ambassador of the water and wastewater sectors, a scholarship in his name was established by CWWA in 1995. The scholarship is intended to provide educational assistance to those embarking on careers associated with municipal water supply or wastewater. The scholarship of $500 will be awarded annually. At the 2011 ABEA AGM, held in St. John’s NL, it was decided that the Atlantic Branch Equipment Association would support four (4) / $1000 scholarships for the sons/daughters, of ACWWA/ABEA members, intending to pursue a career related to the water / wastewater industry, and those choosing to study in Atlantic Canada.
