Charity Silent Auction

At every annual conference, ACWWA hosts a charity auction to raise funds for Water for People Canada, an extension of the American Water Works Association (AWWA) charity, Water for People.

Water For People focuses on giving communities worldwide access to safe, clean, and sustainable drinking water. Their mission goes beyond infrastructure—it includes training residents to maintain water systems, ensuring long-term functionality and lasting impact. You can view the progress of WFP-supported regions through their online reporting portal https://canada.waterforpeople.org/, which tracks access to reliable water in project areas.

This year, the Atlantic Canada Water and Wastewater Association (ACWWA) will host its annual conference from October 5-7, 2025, in St. John’s, Newfoundland. A key fundraising initiative during the conference is the Water for People Silent Auction, and we are currently seeking item donations to support this important cause.

Typical donation values range from $10 to $100+, and items or gift cards can be:

  • Mailed in advance with donor contact information (e.g., business card) to:
    ACWWA, Box 28141, Dartmouth, NS, B2W 6E2.
  • Dropped off in person at the registration desk or Silent Auction tables during the conference.

Alternatively, cash donations are welcome. ACWWA members can use contributed funds to purchase an auction item on your behalf.

Your generous contribution will directly support clean water initiatives in communities that need it most. Every item donated helps us move closer to a world where everyone has access to safe and sustainable water.
